Installing H2O on the Windows Desktop
The H2O install file for the Windows desktop is a "self-extracting" zip file named "h2o-msdesktop[version].exe". To install H2O for a Windows desktop download this file to the Windows computer and run it. When it runs, it asks you to select the install drive and directory. The install directory must be "\h2o". The drive is usually C:, but if you have another drive where you want to install H2O, you can change the drive letter. For example, to install H2O on the D: drive, use "D:\h2o".
When the program is finished being extracted, an H2O shortcut is created on your Windows desktop. H2O itself is also launched for the first time.
After you have run "h2o-msdesktop[version].exe" to extract the files once, always use the H2O shortcut on your Windows desktop to run H2O. If the shortcut is lost, you can go to the \h2o folder and run "h2o.exe".
WARNING: Do not extract the files again. This will overwrite your files.
See "Upgrading Your H2O Engine" to upgrade your copy of H2O to a newer version. |
